The Quest
Once upon a time a little bird fell out of his nest, and
being too young to fly, took off on foot to try and find
his mother. "Are you my mother?" he asked everything he saw
along the way. No, the rusted out old car, the boat in the
river, the airplane overhead, none of these was his mother.
Finally, a huge machine heard the little bird's plea,
scooped him up in its front-loader, and gently placed him
in his nest just as his mother flew back home with a juicy
worm for his dinner. *
Don't you love happy endings? I certainly do. That's why I
have spent my entire career learning safe and effective
ways to facilitate healing at all levels of body, mind, and
spirit. Just like the little bird you may have tried many
different things in your quest to find your way back to
health. Even if you haven't found it yet and are getting
discouraged,
don't give up!
I have worked with people who have had chronic or recurring
problems for months or years, and together we have made
great progress, often achieving complete remission of
symptoms.
In my practice I work with high-functioning individuals who
are ready to deal with the physical, mental, emotional, and
spiritual issues which are holding them back from being as
happy and fulfilled as they have the potential to be. These
include:
Pain,
both acute and chronic, including chronic headaches and
migraines
-
Physical
and emotional trauma from accidents, including auto
accidents
-
Accelerated
recovery from illness, accident, and surgery
-
Trauma
and associated problems stemming from abuse
-
Stress
from whatever source
-
Self-defeating
beliefs and behaviors
-
Depression,
anxiety, negative self-talk
-
Feeling
of emptiness, "something is wrong," don't belong, life is a
struggle
-
Fears
and phobias
-
Grief
and loss
-
Compulsive
eating disorders, including bulimia
-
Weight
Loss
-
Issues
of body image and self-esteem
-
Allergies
-
Nicotine
addiction
-
Alcohol
dependency
-

and healing current life issues through past life

On the following pages is information about me and the work
that I do. For ease of reference I have divided my work
into categories, even though you and I understand that
these divisions are to an extent artificial as the body,
mind, and spirit all work together and are always
influencing each other. These categories are Energy
Healing, Counseling, Energy Psychotherapy, Eliminating Food
Cravings and Addictions, Hypnotherapy, Past Life Regression
Therapy, and Headache Relief.
The section on Research includes summaries of my Master's
thesis on chronic back pain, a research essay on the
content and outcomes of formal research using Healing
Touch, and my Ph.D. dissertation on Healing Touch and
Certified Healing Touch Practitioners.
Last, but certainly not least, is information on how to
make an appointment to see me, and how to contact me with
your questions.

Education
I earned my undergraduate degrees in
Psychology and Sociology at Linfield
College,
a school that sits on a beautiful campus graced by hundred
plus-year-old oak trees in the small community of
McMinnville, Oregon. After working for the state as a
caseworker, raising my two sons, and developing a private
practice, I returned to school for a
Master's degree and a Ph.D. in Psychology.
Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center
(now
Saybrook University)
in San Francisco suited my needs and interests perfectly.
As a graduate school with a Humanistic Psychology focus, it
allowed me to pursue my interests in holistic health and
healing. Under the Research section you can read about my
Master's Thesis on back pain, and my Ph.D. Dissertation on
energy healing and Certified Healing Touch Practitioners.
